The Board of Directors of the Windham Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is pleased to announce the acquisition of 10.3 +/- acres of land located at the intersection of Roosevelt Trail (Rt. 302) and Angler’s Road. This strategic acquisition will offer an intersection re-alignment development opportunity to align White’s Bridge Road with a new Angler’s Road entrance. This will improve safety and traffic flow as well as create a unique opportunity to re-development the 10.3 +/- acres of land currently zoned commercial and residential. A portion of the land abuts the Chaffin Pond Conservation Lands and offers access to this recreational property.
Windham Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is a non-profit corporation formed in 1991 by the Town of Windham to attract and retain business in the town. The WEDC mission is to encourage, advocate and participate in economic development initiatives which further diversify the tax base, increase employment and wages while enhancing Windham’s overall quality of life. The Board of Directors work closely with the Windham Economic Development Director, Town Manager, Planning Office and Town Council to support growth and expansion of current businesses, attract and retain quality jobs, establish transportation initiatives and support changes in Zoning and Land Use Ordinances to “Fast Track” and promote desirable economic development.
